YOUTH CLASSES AND EVENTS

The Center has always placed great importance on programs for the younger members of the community - classes and activities in the visual and performing arts. Young creative spirits need to be nurtured in the notion that creativity is not a secondary part of a well rounded life but an essential element at its very core.

Check out the activities listed below and sign up by calling the center at 706-878-3300.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST JR.
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST JR.Director Jessi Reed

Sautee Stars, our children's theatre performance class, presents Beauty and the Beast JR. in 2021.

Based on the original Broadway production that ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney's Beauty and the Beast JR. is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end, and he will be transformed to his former self, but time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. Features many popular songs, Belle, Be Our Guest, Beauty & the Beast, and more!

Admission to this class is by Audition Only:

Tutoring in Sautee

Learning "For Real" with Elizabeth Jaskolski, a certified teacher of elementary and middle school students, will be available for tutoring at the Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Center.

Due to Covid-19 and subsequent absence of direct in-school teaching, most students will have many educational gaps, making individual assessment necessary to identify those gaps. Thereafter, small groups of 4 to 6 students with similar needs will be formed to successfully remediate and bring students back to grade level.

Call Elizabeth at 706-514-0301 or 706-212-8585 for more information and to schedule an appointment for your child's assessment.
