Pottery Classes

Collaborations FACE JUG CLASS
Instructors Daniel Bollinger & Celena Schoen

This class is inspired by our current folk pottery exhibit, Collaborations, which showcases pottery pieces created by multiple potters working together. Instructors Daniel Bollinger and Celena Schoen, featured potters in the exhibit, will lead this unique workshop.

Join us for a two-hour session where students will collaborate to transform plain jugs into creative face jugs. Each participant will start with a jug and sculpt it for 30 minutes before passing it to their neighbor to continue the work. By the end of the class, each jug will have been shaped and enhanced by four different students. The face jug you finish with is the one you will take home!

After the class, leave your face jug with us for a few weeks for glazing and firing. We will notify you when your piece is ready for pickup. The class fee includes all instruction, materials, and firing costs. Don't miss this opportunity to create a unique piece of collaborative art!
