First, thank you for all you do to help us provide services and support in our community. With the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, our first priority is keeping families, students and visitors safe. The SNCA Executive Committee met today, Tues, March 17, and determined the following:
The Community Center, Folk Pottery Museum and all other facilities on our campus will be closed starting Wednesday, March 18th. The only exception to this is the Sautee Nacoochee Post Office.
All events, programs, classes and rentals have been canceled or postponed. For an ongoing list of program changes, please check our website at snca.org and look for the red button that reads COVID-19 updates. Push this button, and a scrolling notice on programs will start directly below.
We will continue to provide WiFi Support to students who are working with online lesson plans. This service covers the area surrounding the cultural center, community hall and playground. Students can sit in cars with parents or work on our covered porches. Additional information is provided on our website under COVID-19 updates.
Remember, if you have the desire to get out and drive around the community, our new smart phone application is available as a download or on the web. PRESS HERE to be connected on your computer. This is a safe way for members and visitors to practice CDC-recommended social distancing while learning about our history, culture and environment.
We will not have a board meeting on Wednesday, March 25th. Board members, please continue to check your emails for additional information.
Again, our primary concern is for you and your family to remain healthy. We have established the COVID-19 Sustainability Fund to help our staff and families with ongoing support. If you would like to support this fund, please PRESS HERE.
Please contact Patrick@snca.org if you have any questions.
