The Center has always placed great importance on programs for the younger members of the community - classes and activities in the visual and performing arts. Young creative spirits need to be nurtured in the notion that creativity is not a secondary part of a well rounded life but an essential element at its very core.

YOUTH YOGA
YOUTH YOGA Instructor Charlene Hammersen with Yonah Yoga

This will be a fun-filled yoga class for kids. Your child will learn various yoga poses as they transform into different animals and tell exciting stories, all while moving, breathing, and laughing!

Yoga is a discipline that can help children have a calm and balanced mind, as well as, help them build a strong and mobile body, and most of all, have FUN!

FACE MUG CLASS
FACE MUG CLASS Instructor Ben Dockins with The Willows Pottery

Students will work with clay to build and decorate their own face mugs that will then be fired and glazed.

Local potter, Ben, and his assistant will guide the students as they learn various sculpting techniques and get creative! They will create a specialized, treasured mug!

KIDS' GARDENING CLUB

We will engage your child's natural curiosity by working with the earth and planting herbs, vegetables and flowers for Spring! We will also create nature inspired art, as well!

Come learn planting skills, form friendships, create art, and connect with the Earth!

Your child will learn beginning ballet positions and moves, learn to dance to music, and learn tumbling skills. This is the perfect beginner dance class for your child to learn new skills, build self-confidence, make new friends, and perform in front of family and friends!

SAUTEE STARS: ANNIE, JR.Director Jessi Reed

Sautee Stars is excited to announce that we will be producing the award-winning musical, Annie Jr., this Spring!

Little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930's New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

This musical includes the fan-favorite songs; Tomorrow, Maybe, It’s a Hard Knock Life, Little Girls and more!

Auditions will be held the first day of class with cold readings from the script. Please have your child prepare a song to sing acapella or with CD.
