"Going to the Dog
. . . and Cats"
August 20th to
September 26th
SNCA Art Galleries Have Gone to the Dogs
. . . and Cats!
The 150+ Center Gallery artists are being creative again!
An interesting new exhibit, "Going to the Dogs . . . and Cats", opened Friday,
August 20 and will continue through September 26.
This whimsical show
includes many interesting animal paintings by featured artists Annice
Anderson and Ed Johnson.
You'll find dogs, cats, tigers, lions, cougars, and even bears.
Many of the juried gallery artists brought theme related art in the forms of
paintings, sculpture, pottery, woodturned art, fiber art and more.
The South hallway invitational artist, who has also been recently juried
into The Center Gallery, is Tom Ingraham. He has brought paintings which
will fill the hallway gallery. Tigers, bears, lambs, lions and other wild
and domestic animals abound in the exhibit.
Ingraham's large tiger painting, which won an honorable mention award at the
62nd Quinlan Members Exhibition, is on display during this "Going to the
Dogs...and Cats" show.
This exhibit, which features many ferocious and friendly felines, as well as
a collection of cuddly canines, has something for all animal lovers. Be sure
to visit the twin galleries which are open seven days a week - Monday
through Friday from 9 to 5, Saturday from 10 to 5 and Sunday from 1 to 5.
There is never an admission charge to enjoy the art by local artists in the
galleries.
